"Motor City" Squad Comes to Indianapolis for Season's Conclusion


Tornados Battle Detroit Seminoles for Last Regular Season Game
Indianapolis faces squad from the “motor city” on Fan Appreciation Night

INDIANAPOLIS- The Indianapolis Tornados will be facing the Detroit Seminoles on Saturday, September 25. That evening will be Fan Appreciation Night, and the last Tornados’ game of the 2010 North American Football League season. Indianapolis is hoping to make the NAFL playoffs, with a current record of 8-2 (8-1 in the NAFL). A win over Detroit would definitely “seal the deal” for the Tornados. With a strong post-season berth, the squad hopes to win its second NAFL championship in three years.

The players are not the only ones feeling the excitement. Fan Appreciation Night will consist of multiples prize giveaways for dedicated supporters of the team; such as a $100 gift certificate from Master Jewelers, a 32-inch, flat-screen television from Northwestern Mutual, $250 in IT Services from Veteran's Computer Solutions, and a $250 scholarship from Indiana College Choice Plan to name just a few.

Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock will be conducting the game’s opening coin toss. At halftime, Twister the Kat-5 Tornado and his mascot buddies will be battling it out with youth fans in a game of touch football. It looks to be a fun-filled evening for fans of all ages. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.

The Indianapolis Tornados are a minor league football team with a rich history and an intense commitment to the community. The Tornados won the North American Football League championship in 2008, the largest minor league football organization in the country.
