
Indianapolis Mayor Making Appearance at Tornados Home Opener
Mayor Greg Ballard will do the coin toss and make a halftime appearance as two Indianapolis teams go head to head at Park Tudor in minor league football action

INDIANAPOLIS- The Indianapolis Tornados will be facing the Indianapolis Yellow Jackets at 7 p.m. on July 10 for their first home game of the season. The action will take place at Park Tudor High School, located at 7200 N. College Avenue. Tickets to the game are $10 for adults, $6 for students, and kids under the age of 7 can enjoy the game for free. The mayor of Indianapolis, Greg Ballard, will be doing the opening coin toss and will later share some words with the fans at halftime.
Tornados General Manager Dave Seiter expressed his happiness with the mayor’s decision to be involved with Saturday’s game.
“We have been working hard for several years now to better our work with the city of Indianapolis in hopes of becoming an organization that gives back to the community,” Seiter said. “The mayor gracing us with his presence makes it all worthwhile. We all feel a sense of accomplishment for him to acknowledge us.”
In addition to the mayor, live music will be provided for the pre-game entertainment. Lynda Sayyah, a local recording artist, will perform a concert at 6:15 p.m. In addition, she will be singing the national anthem.
The Indianapolis Tornados are a minor league football team with a rich history and an intense commitment to the community. The Tornados won the North American Football League championship in 2008, the largest minor league football organization in the country.
